I am a THINKER. I like to solve puzzles and crack codes. The fun part is finding a problem that needs to be solved and then doing it in a unique, smart and clever way. I am a WRITER. Expressing a vision, emotion or message to an audience is a privilege and one that should never be taken for granted. I am a NETWORKER. I believe everyone is here to help someone else. The more people you take the time to get to know is one person you can potentially help and perhaps if you're lucky, can even help you someday. If nothing else, everyone brings something new into your life if only for a fleeting moment. I am CREATIVE. Organized chaos is my norm as I navigate my way through finding innovative ways to tackle projects. I've never been one to color inside the lines. I am a DOER. I like to get things done and expect that of others. I run a million miles a minute and that's how I like it. I am a MULTI-TASKER. I usually have at least 10 different projects going at any given time. Variety is what makes life (and jobs) fun and interesting!
Working at a startup from launch, it's an exciting time! I'm fortunate to wear many hats in my role; here are some of the things I do at Shocase: * Head up Communications- run the blog, act as our company voice, write outbound materials, collateral, blogs and email campaigns, reach out and establish connections with bloggers and influencers * Manage a marketing team * Act as an industry expert to help shape our site and product * Responsible for digital strategy, marketing campaigns and management of social team * Head up and manage growth and engagement programs * Represent the company at speaking engagements * Make sure we're always on brand and strategic * Provide creative direction on marketing materials * Business Development * Work closely with PR and events departments
Utilizing my advertising, marketing and events background, I'm contributing by helping launch this year's Gala into an exciting and extraordinary event by lending creative ideas, event planning advice and execution, setting new attendance goals and securing corporate partnerships. Also working in a fundraising capacity by locking in donations for the event and for our silent auction.
Focus on small business clients and show them how to build their brand awareness through various channels and provide valuable advice and execution. Help them with their business strategy, marketing, advertising, website copy, social media, corporate sponsorships and events.

Responsible for all aspects of the company's marketing including : brand management, ad development and placement, digital strategy, collateral, corporate communications- external and internal, website direction and development, event execution, partnership development and management, foundation development and management, event management and management of all creative contractors. Advised and lead the development of bridal and special event print advertisements.
Worked in a sales role to find advertisers for monthly premier magazine. Edited monthly magazine. Attended fun and interesting social events between subscribers and advertisers.
Wrote copy and marketing materials: web brochures, email blasts, sales materials, infographics for blogs, etc. Also, worked in a sales role for the company.
Brainstormed, concepted and wrote copy for Williams-Sonoma assignments dealing with: product-oriented catalog and web, brochures, seasonal and holiday in-store displays, food naming, Wedding Book and email blasts.
Clients: San Jose Airport, Toyota, Hoffman Lewis in-house projects Media: TV, Print, Digital, Social Media Concepted and wrote an in-airport video which was produced and aired promoting San Jose Airport.
Designed and made a unique line of infant accessories. Sourced all fabrics and materials, oversaw pattern and sample productions, sole marketer, created logo and brand identity, wrote all copy and oversaw website production, shot photography and sold merchandise.

Taught a weekly advertising class, along with my art director partner. We helped students improve their campaigns to be more creative and on target with their creative brief. I also worked on staff as a mentor.
